Accessibility statement of the German Centre for Astrophysics (DZA)
The German Centre for Astrophysics (DZA) strives to make its website https://deutscheszentrumastrophysik.de accessible to all users. The legal basis for this is the German Disability Equality Act (BGG), the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 in their currently valid versions.
Status of compliance with requirements
This accessibility statement has been prepared with the utmost care and is regularly updated to meet current requirements and standards. Nevertheless, errors cannot be completely ruled out. If you find any errors in this statement, please send us a brief report using the Report Barriers functionality as described in this document.
This document was last updated on 23 April 2025.
Areas that are not yet accessible can be found in the next section. The DZA is working hard to ensure that its website is accessible. The barriers described were identified during an accessibility test of the WebAIM application at Utah State University on 24 April 2025.
Areas that are not accessible, for exampled
- The syntax contains a few formal errors, but these should not restrict accessibility.
- Contrast and font sizes: Background colours for headings and body text will be corrected with higher contrast in the near future.
- Navigation elements: Not all navigation element labels are currently accessible.
- PDF documents: Some of our PDF documents are not accessible. We are working to adapt them as quickly as possible or to provide accessible alternatives.
- Videos: Some of our embedded videos do not currently have subtitles. We are endeavouring to provide subtitles for all videos in the future.
- Images without alternative text: Some images on the website do not have alternative text. We are continuously reviewing and updating this content.
- Embedded YouTube videos: Currently available videos do not yet have adapted transcripts, so the corresponding subtitles are still missing.
- The entire website is not yet available in simple language.
